A Public Lecture series tagged Safeguarding Lives through Fire Prevention will hold as follows:
- Day 1 (Akoka Campus): Wednesday, July 3, 2024 Time: 10 a.m. Venue: Tolu Odugbemi Hall, UNILAG, Akoka
- Day 2 (Vendors and Cab/commercial Bus Drivers): Thursday, July 4, 2024 Time: 8 a.m. Venue: Tolu Odugbemi Hall, UNILAG, Akoka
- Day 3 (Yaba and Idi-Araba Campuses): Friday, July 5, 2024 Time: 10 a.m. Venue: Old Great Hall, CMUL, Idi-Araba.
The public lecture is part of efforts by the African Centre of Excellence for Drug Research, Herbal Medicine Development and Regulatory Science (ACEDHARS), University of Lagos (UNILAG) in collaboration with the UNILAG Fire Service Unit to ensure safe environmental practices and social safeguard activities within and outside the University community.
Please note that:
- Heads of Departments/ Units are to nominate four members of staff to represent their departments/units on the appropriate day indicated in the above schedule. Heads of Departments/Units are to send the names of their nominees to the Centre Leader, Dr. Omobolanle Ade-Ademilua (ACEDHARS, UNILAG) via e-mail: [email protected], and ensure that their nominees attend the event as scheduled above.
- Two (2) representatives from each vendor and all cab/commercial drivers within the University are to participate in the public lecture on Thursday, July 4, 2024.
- Attendance is mandatory. Certificate of participation will be issued to all attendees.
- Nominated members of the University community are enjoined to attend punctually.
