Professor Familoni Appointed to Commonwealth Chemistry Board

The Commonwealth Chemistry Board has appointed Professor Oluwole Babafemi Familoni, FAS, as a member of its board.

Effective from May 2025, this three-year appointment recognizes Professor Familoni’s outstanding contributions to chemistry and his global leadership in the field. It builds on his impactful tenure as the International Representative for the Royal Society of Chemistry, London, for Southern Nigeria, among other notable achievements.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Folasade T. Ogunsola, OON, FAS, on behalf of the University of Lagos staff and students, warmly congratulates Professor Familoni on this well-earned recognition and wishes him a successful term of office in his new role.
