A cross-section of students of the Department of Actuarial Science and Insurance, University of Lagos (UNILAG), have delivered an outstanding performance at the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN) Ambassador PET Project Competition for the 2025/2026 cycle, emerging as first runner-up in the highly competitive national event.
The competition, which formed part of activities under the CIIN Ambassador PET Project, was held on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at the School of Applied Social Science (SASS), Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH). It featured the presentation titled NextGen Insurers Knowledge Challenge: An Interschool Quiz on NIIRA 2025 .
Team UNILAG distinguished itself through an exceptional display of analytical ability, depth of knowledge, and competitive excellence, standing out among participating universities from across the country.
Finishing second overall, the team’s achievement underscores the importance of sustained institutional support for academic and professional initiatives that expose students to real-world industry practices and challenges.
This accomplishment brings pride to the Department of Actuarial Science and Insurance, and Faculty of Management Sciences, while further reinforcing the reputation of UNILAG for excellence in teaching, research, and professional development within the insurance and allied disciplines.
