The Institute of Continuing Education, University of Lagos (ICE, UNILAG) is set to hold a One-Day Discourse for all ICE Faculty and Departmental Coordinators on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at 9.00 a.m. at the Staff Training and Development Unit (ST&DU), UNILAG.
With the theme: Future-Ready ICE: Operationalising UNILAG ICT Policy and Harnessing AI for Transformative Service Delivery, the capacity-building workshop will be declared open by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Folasade Ogunsola, OON, FAS.
The objectives of the training workshop are to:
Identify and describe five key provisions of the UNILAG ICT Policy; and explain how it supports teaching, learning and operational efficiency at ICE.
Discuss and demonstrate the application of the ICT Policy in at least three routine (teaching, learning taking attendance (data management), conducting assessment or administrative tasks and digital workflow practices) with clear compliance.
Analyse the role of Artificial Intelligence in teaching and learning; and evaluate appropriate and inappropriate uses of AI in an academic setting.
Produce a three-step action plan for implementing ICT compliance and AI integration into ICE operations (AI-enabled practices into ICE service delivery).
All ICE Faculty and Departmental Coordinators are to attend punctually.
