Call for Applications for Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) on Doctoral Education at the University of Lille, France

The Office of International Relations, Partnerships and Prospects (IRPP), University of Lagos (UNILAG) wishes to inform members of the University community that applications are currently open for the Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) on Doctoral Education, hosted by the University of Lille, France, in collaboration with the University of Valladolid and SGroup – Universities in Europe.

The programme is designed to bring together PhD candidates, supervisors, researchers, and administrative staff to reflect on emerging trends and innovative practices in doctoral education within a European and international context. The initiative will provide a platform for participants to engage in knowledge exchange, explore new approaches to doctoral supervision and support, and strengthen institutional cooperation in doctoral training.

The BIP will also focus on key developments shaping doctoral education, including international research collaboration, open science, artificial intelligence, and evolving societal expectations of research and higher education. Through interactive sessions and collaborative discussions, participants will share best practices and contribute to building a responsible, sustainable, and globally oriented doctoral education framework.

Programme Format:
• Online Session: Monday, May 18, 2026
• On-site Programme: Monday, June 29 – Friday, July 3, 2026
• Venue: University of Lille, France
• Working Language: English

Application Deadline: Monday, March 30, 2026
(Please note that only a maximum of 25 participants will be selected.)

Participants may also be eligible to apply for an Erasmus+ mobility grant, subject to the rules and procedures of their home institution.

Members of staff and PhD candidates interested in participating are encouraged to apply before the stated deadline.

All interested applicants are required to inform the SGroup UNILAG Coordinator after submitting their application through the programme website. They are to kindly send a notification email indicating that they have applied for the programme to Dr. Victor Onifade via vonifade@unilag.edu.ng for institutional record and coordination purposes.
