The Faculty of Dental Sciences, College of Medicine, University of Lagos (CMUL), will mark this year’s World Oral Health Day with an outreach scheduled as follows:
- Theme: A Happy Mouth is a Happy Mind
- Date: Thursday, March 20, 2025.
- Time: 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
- Venue: UNILAG Medical Centre, Akoka
Events earmarked for the outreach include:
- Oral Health Talk on common oral health problems and symptoms to watch out for, treatment options, among others.
- Oral examinations
- Clean the teeth of two hundred (200) people, free of charge.
- Provide fillings of teeth for one hundred and fifty (150) people, at no cost.
- Create awareness about the opening of the new Dental clinic at the UNILAG Medical Center.
- Refer individuals who require advanced treatment to LUTH.
Members of the University Community are cordially invited.

This an awesome initiative. Oral care is usually undermined as most people hardly take up oral checkups until when aging and other related health issues begin to cause serious oral discomfort.
Awareness and public enlightenment can’t be overemphasized.
