AFRETEC Network, University of Lagos (UNILAG) invites applications for the Inclusive Education Innovation Challenge 2026 themed: Digitally Enabled Inclusive Education – Expanding Access, Equity, and Opportunity for All.
The platform offers support to undergraduate student-innovators from Anglophone West African universities to develop impact-driven, digitally-enabled solutions that make education accessible to all.
The top three (3) innovative solutions will receive various cash awards from a funding pool of up to Four Million, Five Hundred Thousand Naira (N4, 500,000:00) towards prototype development support and Intellectual Property (IP) advice. Top fifteen (15) teams will smile home with Proof of Concept (PoC) funding of up to Five Hundred Thousand Naira (N500,000:00) each. Other prizes include: expert mentorship, capacity-building boot camp and networking opportunities
Please note:
Prospective participants must be passionate about transforming education through technology and have ideas that can improve learning access for under-served communities and persons living with disabilities.
Each team must be made up of students from different fields of knowledge: Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Humanities, to ensure robust innovative solutions.

Special Feature of the Challenge is a MathWorks Prize Pool of seven hundred (700) dollars with access to training and free licenses to participants through the duration of the competition.
