Insect Named After Late Mother of Immediate Past Pro-Chancellor of UNILAG

A newly found insect of the Lasiocampidae Harris family has been named after Oloori Adetoun Tejuoso, the late mother of Immediate-past Pro-Chancellor and Chairman, Governing Council of the University of Lagos (UNILAG), Distinguished Senator (Dr.) Prince Lanre Tejuoso.

The newly discovered insect, Sonitha adetoun sp., is from the Congolian lowland forests. It is compared with closely related Sonitha lila (Zolotuhin & Prozorov, 2010) and Sonitha integra (Zolotuhin & Prozorov, 2010).

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Folasade Ogunsola, OON, FAS, on behalf of University Senate, staff and students, celebrates with Senator Olanrewaju Tejuoso on this honour bestowed on his late mother.
