- ​ACCOUNTS OFFICER 1Â
Job Description for Accounts Officer 1: As ACCOUNTS OFFICER 1, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting day-to-day fiscal operations. Your role will report to the Director on regular basis.
Responsibilities:
Management of the company’s financial records through the following tasks:
- Processing invoices, verifying accuracy, and monitoring outgoing and incoming funds.
- Regularly reconciling bank statements, general ledgers, and credit card accounts to ensure data integrity.
- Maintaining up-to-date journal entries, ledgers, and records of business costs such as labor and materials.
- Assisting with the preparation and filing of tax returns, VAT, and ensuring adherence to local and federal regulations.
- Managing monthly company payroll, including processing timesheets and statutory deductions.
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Addressing general account queries from clients and following up on past-due invoices for collection.Â
Requirements & Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting and or Finance, is required.
- NYSC certificate with relevant experience.
- Membership in professional bodies like ICAN, ACCA, or AAT may be an advantage.
- Other technical skills such as proficiency in Microsoft Excel, paying attention to details, ability to identify inaccuracies in financial reporting, ability to interpret financial data and resolve discrepancies, maintaining professionalism and confidentiality when handling sensitive financial data, ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines, particularly during month-end or tax seasons.
2. PERSONAL ASSISTANT/SECRETARY TO DIRECTOR
​ Job Description for Personal Assistant/Secretary to the Director: As a personal assistant (PA)/Secretary, you will provide high-level administrative, secretarial, and sometimes personal support to the Director. Your duty will be to maximize the Director’s productivity by handling time-consuming tasks and acting as a central point of contact.
You must be proactive, anticipating needs before they are stated and solving problems independently.
Responsibilities:
- Scheduling all appointments, meetings, and events while proactively resolving scheduling conflicts.
- Communication management, screening inquiries, and requests; managing email inboxes and responding on the company’s behalf.
- Booking flights, accommodation, and ground transportation, and preparing detailed itineraries.
- Organizing meetings, preparing agendas, taking minutes, and following up on action items.
- Drafting reports, presentations, and correspondence; maintaining digital and physical filing systems; and handling expense reports.
Candidate must have:
- Discretional skill in handling sensitive personal and business information with absolute integrity.
- Exceptional ability to multitask and prioritize in fast-paced or high-pressure conditions. Flawless in written and verbal communication.
- Mastery of office software like Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) or Google Workspace.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree/HND in Social Science, Business Administration or Communication Studies. Any other discipline with the required experience and skill will be fully considered.
- Computer literate, prolific in writing memos/minutes.
Experience: Up to 3years experience in administrative or secretarial roles. Professional credentials like the Certified Administrative Professional (CAP) can be advantageous.
