The University of Lagos Business School (ULBS) invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for its Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) programme.
The Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) programme is designed to bridge research-based knowledge and professional capacity development, with the aim of enhancing professional practice, national economic growth, and the wellbeing of society.

Objectives: The specific objectives of the programme are as follows:
i. To provide a collaborative learning environment for professionals, supported by experienced academics and distinguished professional scholars.
ii. To equip participants with the capacity to develop and apply theoretical frameworks in professional practice.
iii. To inspire applied research capable of generating innovative solutions to complex, real-world business and management challenges; and
iv. To expose participants to the knowledge, skills, and attributes required for effective management and leadership, both within and beyond the workplace, throughout their professional lives.
Admission Requirements: Candidates seeking admission into the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) programme must meet the following criteria:
i. Possess a Master of Business Administration (MBA) or a Master’s degree in Business, Management, Accounting, Human Resource Management (HRM), Marketing, Finance, Actuarial Science, or Risk Management from a recognised university, with a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.50 on a 5-point scale.
ii. Have a minimum of ten (10) years of relevant industry experience, with verifiable evidence of current employment in a senior management or senior administrative role.
iii. In addition to the requirements stated in (i) and (ii) above, all applicants must submit and successfully defend a research proposal in their chosen area of specialisation. The proposal must include a clear Statement of the Problem, Research Objectives, Literature Review, and Methodology.
iv. Applicants are required to request that their MBA or other applicable Master’s academic transcripts be forwarded under confidential cover to the Administrative Secretary, ULBS, 3rd Floor, UNILAG Alumni Jubilee House (GTBank) Building. In addition, a copy of the research proposal must be submitted electronically via email to ulbs@unilag.edu.ng.
Programme Duration: The DBA Programme shall run for a minimum of three (3) years (six semesters) and a maximum of five (5) years (ten semesters).
