UNILAG Hosts 2025 Green and Sustainable Software Engineering Summer School, May 5 – 9

University of Lagos (UNILAG), Nigeria, will host the 2025 Green and Sustainable Software Engineering Summer School from Monday, May 5 to Friday, May 9, 2025.

Powered by Software Engineers for Green Deal (SE4GD) Hub, UNILAG, and SE4GD Consortium Europe with partners across Nigeria, the dynamic one-week program will feature international facilitators & experts including:

  • Prof. Jari Porras (Professor of Software Engineering at LUT University, Finland, as well as Visiting Professor at Aalto University, Finland, and University of Huddersfield, United Kingdom)
  • Dr. Birgit Penzenstadler (Associate Professor at Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden, and Adjunct Professor at LUT University, Finland)
  • Dr. Colin C. Venter (Associate Professor at the University of Limerick, Ireland)
  • Prof. Steffi Betz (Full Professor at Hochschule Furtwangen University, Germany, and Adjunct Professor at LUT University, Finland) 
  • Dr. Shola Oyedeji (Postdoctoral Researcher at LUT University, Finland), among others.
