The Lagos African Cluster Center (Lagos ACC), University of Lagos wishes to announce an exceptional opportunity offered by the Bayreuth International Graduate School for African Studies (BIGSAS) at the University of Bayreuth in Germany to African women scholars.
Through the Graduate School Scholarship Programme (GSSP) by the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service), BIGSAS aims to support early-career scholars in African Studies by providing them with the resources and academic network to advance their research and contribute to the field of African Studies.
Key scholarship details are as follows:
- Award:
Two scholarships are available through the DAAD’s Graduate School Scholarship Programme (GSSP). These scholarships are designed to support outstanding African women researchers, providing them with the resources needed to pursue advanced academic research. - Scholarship Duration:
Up to four years, beginning in October 2025. The scholarship term also includes a German language course during the summer of 2025 for those who require or are interested in it. - Application Deadline: December 15, 2024
